My names Natasha, and I’ve been a fire fighter for one year now.
I’ve come to Camp My Way because I’ve been struggling a great amount and life had really begun to beat me down.
July of 2019 I was raped by a friend and May of this year my Uncle suddenly passed, the man I looked up to the most growing up and dearly loved in life had just dropped one day and out of the blue he was no longer with us.
A month after my Great Uncle passed away as well. My Great Uncle was my God Father and a man that made my mother and family grow up to be what we’ve become to this day.
Before my Uncle had passed I found I had ADHD and it shook my world quite a bit. Life only hit me harder and harder.
The day of my Great Uncle’s funeral I got a spiritual message from a bird that good luck was to come my way. A bird Diarrhea bombed my car. It was a strong message because I was singing a Ukrainian prayer as I watched a double rainbow fade from the sky and it was replaced by the warmth of a bright light through the clouds.
Months passed and then Terrance reached out to me. I knew my Great Uncle had sent him.
At this Camp I have found peace with my Great Uncle perishing and I couldn’t have accomplished that without a police officer named Reyno giving me a single hug. My new found brother ended my search for peace and I couldn’t be more grateful. His embrace made me feel as if I was in the arms of my loved one, one last time.
I’ve learned to be grateful and forgive every single day and I have learned my true strength thanks to Terrance and Jill.
The greatest tool I’ve picked up from Camp is the path I need to maintain to move my energy in the way needed for myself to thrive.
I am forever grateful for you Terrance, my miracle couldn’t have happened without you.
I’d love to thank Pursuit, A Dollar a day, the International Police Association, and Jasper Tourism for giving me the opportunity to come up to Camp My Way with my brothers and sisters.
Please help us support two Law Enforcement members journey to healing and joining Natasha in June!
