Ten years ago the Whistler community of adventure seekers and sports enthusiasts came together for an unparalleled opportunity on the global stage as Host Mountain Resort for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Now, it is time for the community to again pull out their red mittens, blue volunteer jackets, white torch bearer suits, and cow bells. Whistler will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of the 2010 Games in honour of RIP Nodar Kumaritashvili on February 12 2020.

We’d like to invite everyone who experienced the magic of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, along with everyone excited by this landmark moment in Whistler’s history, as we join the Diaspora of Georgia in BC , Embassy of Georgia to Canada on a peaceful march through the village stroll Honouring the Life and Legacy of Nodar Kumaritashvili.

We will gather outside of the Dubh Linn Gate Pub, bottom of the stairs at 12 noon departing at 12:30.

We will march our way through the village stroll to Nodar Kumaritashvili’s memorial in Whistler Olympic Plaza .

We will be lead by the Ambassador of Georgia H.E Konstantin Kavtaradze, “the people” of the Georgian Community, Georgian Priest, and our First Nations Drummers / Culture Saves Lives from the Downtown Eastside Vancouver. John Wolf S.

Grab your flags, and join us for your lunch break to show our international guests from the Georgian Community our respect and how we as Canadians honour the life of Nodar Kumaritashvili and his family Davit Kumaritashvili Mariam Kumaritashvili.
